Can I use my old non-induction copper pots and pans on my induction cooktop? – you can now!

$89.95

The AppliancePro induction interface converter disc allows you to use non-induction cookware on an induction cooktop.

It simply transforms the induction element into a traditional radiant element!

New model now includes an easy grip soft touch handle that’s safe to touch and easier to move (and it’s dishwasher safe like the disc).

Pots, pans and cookware such as copper pots, cast iron, glass ceramic, Bessemer, Stainless Steel and aluminium can all be used on the induction interface disk. No need to throw out your old favourites just because you are upgrading to induction.

The disc accommodates any cookware up to 28cm diameter.

Can you use copper, glass, ceramic, cast iron, stainless steel, or aluminium pots on an induction cooktop? you can now! It’s simple to test whether cookware is induction ready or not; if a magnet sticks to the base of a pot then it is OK to use on an induction cooktop, if a magnet does not stick to the base – the induction interface disc is for you.

The disc will work with portable induction cookers however due to the low output of these units, heat up time will be a lot longer and some units may not heat the disc to the temperature required to boil water. We do not recommend using the disc on portable induction cookers.

Pros: This is a great product, for those installing a new induction cooktop, but aren’t in a position to replace all their cookware at once. The silicone handle has a great grip and the disc works well with your old pots. AppliancePro are great to deal with and ship the product promptly.
Cons: The only con is it is not recommended for use at high heat or with a boost setting. But considering the cost savings on new cookware that is a small price when you have a kitchen full of used but still new cookware.

Works perfectly when used according to recommendations – which are clear and simple. We have a collection of top-quality stainless steel pots and saucepans, cast-iron casserole dishes and frying pans that we could not contemplate replacing when we installed our new Bora induction cooktop. Our two Induction Interface Discs give us the best of both worlds. Two contented cooks in our household!
